Halogen lamp
At present, many halogen lamps are still used for navigation, and their principle is to use tungsten wire to light up. The biggest advantage of halogen lamp is its strong penetration. In the case of heavy fog and heavy rain with low visibility, the penetration ability of halogen light source is much higher than that of other products with high color temperature. The disadvantage of halogen lamp is also obvious, that is, the brightness is limited, and with the use time getting longer, the brightness will become darker and darker, which needs regular maintenance and replacement.
LED lamp
LED light is the development trend of light source of navigation aid lamps. LED is light-emitting diode, which is a kind of electronic light-emitting device. It uses solid semiconductor chip as the light-emitting material, and directly emits light through the photon emission caused by carrier recombination. Its advantages are energy saving, fast reaction, high brightness and long life. However, in the high temperature environment, the luminous efficiency of LED will be reduced.
As the future trend of LED, it is very important to solve the problem of the decrease of luminous efficiency caused by the temperature rise.
